A police spokesman said a date and time had been arranged with Ms Morton.
An independent review into abuse at the county's children's homes is to be carried out following the claims.
'Sexually abused' Nottinghamshire Police is already investigating dozens of incidents of physical and sexual abuse, at care homes including Beechwood Children's Home in Mapperley.
A spokesman for the force said: "We have agreed a date and time towards the end of this month to meet with the individual concerned to discuss the matter."
Following Ms Morton's claims, Nottinghamshire's Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping said an independent review should be carried out as soon as possible.
Ms Morton, 37, moved into Red Tiles children's home in Bulwell when she was 11 and said she was sexually abused by two residential care workers.
The home, which has since closed, is among 13 care homes and secure units where former residents have made compensation claims.
Golden Globe and Bafta award winner Ms Morton later moved to another home, Wollaton House, where she said she was physically abused.
Nottinghamshire County Council is working closely with police and the city council to investigate Ms Morton's concerns.

The Minority Report star told the Guardian in September that abuse by social services employees was "rife" in the 1980s.A police spokesman said a date and time had been arranged with Ms Morton.
