OTTAWA, Oct. 22 — Canadian Member of Parliament Romeo Saganash apologized Monday for having been kicked off a flight for being drunk.
The New Democrat Party member, who won election from northern Quebec province in 2011, was removed from an Air Canada Jazz flight from Montreal to Val D’or Friday, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.
The incident delayed the flight for a half hour.
“It was Friday, it had been a long week and we’re all stressed out at that time,” Saganash told the CBC. “I apologize.
“This is the first time that it has happened in 30 years in the air. I regret what happened and it won’t happen again.”
