Seven gunmen in Paris killed themselves with explosives vests and one was shot dead by the security forces. Who are they?
"Three co-ordinated teams" appear to have been behind Friday's attacks, according to Paris prosecutor Francois Molins.
One of the attackers, born in 1985, was from a Parisian suburb. He was known for petty crimes committed between 2004 and 2006. Intelligence services reported that he was radicalised in 2010 but he was not known to be part of any network.
An Egyptian passport was found on one of the attackers at the Stade de France, police sources told the French newspaper Le Parisien.
A second passport belonging to a Syrian, who was born in 1990, was also discovered. He was not known to French intelligence authorities. The holder of the Syrian passport found at the scene crossed into the European Union through the Greek island of Leros in October, a Greek government minister has said. This has not been confirmed by French authorities.
A heavily armed Macedonian man detained last week during a routine police check on a motorway in Germany may have been connected to the attackers, German officials have said. They believe he was bound for Paris.
Belgian officials have said three arrests have been made in Brussels in relation to the Paris attacks after police raided a neighbourhood of the Belgian capital on Saturday.
Le Parisien newspaper has quoted a spectator as saying one of the stadium attackers was a woman.
